Dear Santa,

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  With winter weather testing us weeks before the holidays all over North America, we are left with little option but to write to dear old Santa and see if he and some elves might not make our season of joy just a little bit brighter. Such was the initiative shown in a request submitted by a good-natured customer who was looking for further process optimization by addressing a letter to our North Pole headquarters.

Dear Santa:

Please grant me more efficiency.

I was daydreaming and came up with a solution.

If we just install another logic loop before the preexisting one.

Before Dolphin attempts to match line items let's tell it if there are three or less line items and the total PPV (difference between invoice total and PO total) is less than $100 - then auto-post. If more than $100 or more than three line items then default to original logic.

Santa, I know this would be a vast improvement for us.  Can we please develop?  I already know it will be approximately 20 hours.

Thanks, TDJ

Santa will no doubt be stuffing the proverbial ABAP stocking with goodies such as this for good functional and technical believers across the globe. And now, I decided to write my own on behalf of my colleagues: Dear Santa Claus: I hope this note finds you well.  We are very near the end of our fiscal year and things are looking so bright you can probably give Rudolph a rest when you come to visit our team. We have been good the whole year through.  We listened to our customers and did not fib even once during a sales presentation.  We have completed our chores on a regular basis, reducing costs for our customers and delivering transparency and control. For Christmas this year, I was thinking it would be nice to get some new customers in vertical industries where our solutions are already powering some of the world’s mightiest companies.  Also I would hope that we can extend our reach to other parts of the world where opportunities never cease. I would love for you to continue to spread the message of hope and goodwill that accompany a well laid out archiving strategy or plan for real business process improvement.  There are so many success stories that can help people all over the world. Finally Santa, it would be wonderful if you could continue to bless us with the good fellowship, fortune and health that we have been so lucky to experience all year long. Hope you like the cookies and milk… Enjoy the holidays everyone…and all the best for 2014. The Dolphin Team.
