There are often IT and business challenges for which SAP users have previously found no easy answers. Dolphin has developed solutions to resolve many of these requirements. We call them, “Unique Solutions for Unique SAP Challenges”. These solutions are turnkey and address recurring needs that are not currently met with SAP functionality. Meeting these needs for SAP customers greatly increases productivity and lowers day-to-day costs.

Document Navigator and Output Solution
The Document Navigator and Output solution allows you to do find, display and mass output the documents from SAP that are stored on external ArchiveLink compliant content repositories. The mass output option supports batch or package output. You can access all related documents and content and distribute them selectively (all or one) to print, fax, email or download. For example, with a customer on the phone, you are able to view all sales order related content and instantly e-mail it as one package.

Batch output needs typically include AP Invoices, Purchase Orders, SD Order Related Documents, Customer Invoices, and HR Employee Folders.

Examples of ad hoc package printing are PM Work Order Package – PM work order and notifications including DMS and ArchiveLink documents from equipment, locations, work-orders, notifications and materials; Customer Billing Package – SD Invoice with related documents from sales order (customer PO), delivery (POD, COA), material (MSDS) and shipment (shipping instructions, packing list); and AR Check Package – Checks with supporting documents such as invoice, or other billing package documents.

ArchiveLink Migration Tool
Dolphin developed the ArchiveLink Migration solution to facilitate the seamless migration of the archived data and documents from one ArchiveLink enabled content repository to another. Changes in content management systems, infrastructure, or record retention requirements precipitate this need.

 

Outgoing Document Catch-up Archiving
The solution for “Catch-Up Archiving” of SAP outgoing documents is geared for SAP customers who are just beginning outgoing document archiving. In most cases, there is a period when outgoing documents are printed and filed in physical filing cabinets. Once outgoing archiving is activated, such filing is no longer necessary; however, to eliminate the existing physical files, it is necessary to electronically capture and archive the documents.

Instead of scanning each paper document, the Catch-up archiving solution can be used to regenerate the output message of old transactions in archive-only mode. The result is that the older documents are securely retained on longer-term archive media as well as the outgoing documents on a go-forward basis. This is generally also a prerequisite for data archiving. Even if old documents are not kept in filing cabinets, it is necessary to archive them before the transactional records can be deleted by the data archiving program.
